The 2nd Symposium of French Poles of Competitiveness and the Quebec Niches of Excellence will take place in France from the 24th to the 26th November 2010.
Like the first edition of the Symposium, in which AQUIMER took part in 2008, the event is being organised jointly by the French Ministry of Economy, Industry and Labour and the Quebec Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade.
The aim of the Symposium is to speed up the emergence and realisation of new technological, industrial and business partnerships, between companies, research centres and universities.
The four themes chosen for the 2nd Symposium are:
- aeronautics and space,
- biotechnologies,
- new materials and technical textiles,
- nutrition and nutraceutics.
The fourth theme will be the subject of two days of work in Bordeaux on the 24th and 25th of November, 2010. The pre-programme for these days appears in the attached document. It will tackle the following questions:
- How to innovate in health nutrition? Market trends, health claims, communication strategies,
- Nutrition and prevention: which health ingredients? Prevention of chronic diseases, ageing, obesity, metabolic / cardiovascular diseases.
In particular, a workshop on the development of aquatic biomass is planned.
